My favorite way to start off a season is by photographing the wedding of a friend. In this case, the wedding of my friend Sally’s beautiful granddaughter. Ashley also happens to be close to my daughter Makena, which meant I got to spend the day capturing her gorgeousness, too! I’ve watched Ashley grow up into a strong, kind, and wonderful young woman, who in her young life has faced down more obstacles than most middle-aged people I know. Zach is the quiet complement to Ashley’s feistiness, and together they just work. I’m so glad I got to be there to capture the beautiful day that Ashley and Zach put together with some help from the friends and family who love them.
