I was beyond ecstatic when I checked my email to find an inquiry from Lauren earlier this year: “I don’t know if you remember me, but…” Of COURSE I remembered Lauren—she is the beautiful and sweet sister of one of my awesome 2018 brides, Lexy Johnson. I rushed to check my calendar to make sure I was available, and sent back a quick “yes, yes, and YES!”

We met at the Marginal Way in Ogunquit, Maine, for her engagement session—the same location where I had shot Lexy and Jimmy’s engagement session two years (seriously, time FLIES) ago.

That weekend happened to be the same weekend my dad was visiting from Connecticut, and he insisted on coming along for the nearly 3 hour ride down to spend more time with me, so he and my son, daughter, and son-in-law wandered around Ogunquit on their own while I followed Lauren and her adorable fiancé Jared around the Marginal Way and Ogunquit Beach with my camera (and we had one run-in with my dad, who took a picture of me working with his cell phone as we passed—you’re never too old for your dad to be embarrassingly proud of you haha!).

After Jared and Lauren bid their goodbyes, I met up with the kids and dad for a delicious lobster dinner and one incredible coastal sunset.

I can’t wait to see Jared and Lauren (and the entire Brucker/Johnson gang who are starting to feel like old friends) again next August! In the meantime, enjoy their smoking hot engagement session!
